Our theme for this event is Families Nestled In Nature. This theme allows us to emphasize what we think are Durham’s two biggest assets. One is the strength of our family ties and loyalty to our heritage. The second is the beautiful natural surroundings in which our town is so happily situated. Many of the Homecoming activities will be specifically planned to highlight these two assets, maximizing the outdoors and family-oriented events. As well, we haven’t forgotten to include many of the traditional activities which we all associate with the fun of Homecoming.
We, as a committee, are proud to invite you to Durham Homecoming 2012 . Please reserve the date and plan to spend that weekend with us. Keep up to date with the events being planned for your pleasure by visiting our website. This website was launched in the fall of 2010 and will be continually up-dated as our planned events are confirmed. In order to get answers to your specific questions, please e-mail us at durhamhomecoming2012@gmail.com. We will be pleased to reply at our earliest convenience.
Please spread the word to those you know who might be interested. Bring your friends along and show them your hometown. Plan your own “mini-reunion” of those old friends who were closest to you. Hold a “family reunion” or a “community get-together”. Get the old team together. Be creative, but be here and participate. We are expecting to have an exciting weekend of fun for all, so we need the best ever attendance!
See you in 2012 !!
